24th Annual Golf Invitational

May 20, 2019

Queenstown Country Club

Queenstown, Maryland

Funds from this much anticipated golf event will support community health, wellness and enrichment programs for Prince George’s County residents.

Outreach programs, such as the DCH Wellness on Wheels Mobile Health Clinic,  provide free screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes), health education and other critical primary care services, to under-served communities throughout the County.

Dominic Magnolia, Vice President of Magnolia Companies and our golf invitational chairman, views the mobile clinic as an important community resource. “Reliable and accessible health care is a vital component to every thriving community. Doctors Community Hospital’s Wellness on Wheels program helps to provide that type of care to people – no matter where they live in the county and regardless of their ability to pay. That certainly lives up to the hospital’s mission of ‘passionately caring.’”

For the third year, the Foundation will partner with the Southern Maryland Junior Golf Association, and host four youth golfers who attend Prince George’s County high schools. A portion of the funds raised during the invitational will also help support this organization, which provides leadership development, life skills improvement, competitive sports opportunities and scholarships for young county residents.
