Thank you for your interest in the pastoral care volunteer program at Doctors Community Hospital.  We enjoy working with dependable and friendly volunteers who complement the quality care that our medical staff provide to patients, families, guests and the community.

To be considered for our Pastoral Care Volunteer Program, please follow the instructions below.

  • Carefully review and complete the pastoral care packet
  • Return the full packet to Volunteer Services with two letters of reference (one of the references must be from your religious/spiritual leader) and a copy of your ordination certificate.
  • Attend one of the scheduled volunteer orientations. 
  • Schedule a personal interview with Volunteer Services to help us determine your areas of interest.

The Lay Healthcare Chaplaincy Training (LHCT) Program provides non-sectarian, non-denominational training, designed to help participants offer competent pastoral/spiritaul care to patients and families in a hospital setting.
