The DCH Mobile Health Clinic (Wellness on Wheels)

Providing free health services in locations throughout Prince George's County including housing developments, shopping centers, credit unions, senior centers and churches, the DCH Mobile Health Clinic targets communities in Prince George’s County who face significantly higher health challenges and disparities than other areas in the state of Maryland. A big disparity is the severe shortage of safety net providers and primary care physicians for those who can least afford to pay.

The Clinic offers services to residents (18 years+), with a focus on chronic disease prevention, screenings and health education and management. Educational literature promoting a healthy lifestyle and disease management is provided to increase health literacy. All services provided on the mobile clinic are free of charge.

Currently, the vehicle travels to the Shoppes at New Carrollton, Beltway Plaza Mall, Powder Mill Village Apartments, Megamart Supermarket, the City of Glenarden, Shops at Iverson Mall, Reid temple AME Church, Senior Activity Centers in Prince George’s County, Bladensburg, MD and Takoma Park, MD.
